The Broadway Shops

 

The Broadway Shops are located at the main entrance and exit to a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Sam’s Club, Lowe’s, Hy-Vee, Academy Sports and Staples. The shops are home to national, regional and local retailers such as, Applebee’s, Firehouse Subs, Plato’s Closet, Music Go Round, Commerce Bank, The Tan Company, US Cellular, Palen Music, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, GameStop, Massage Envy, Wing Stop and others. Adjacent to the Broadway Shops is the Broadway Bluffs, another Lindner Properties location. The Bluffs current tenant list includes Starbucks, Chipotle, Houlihan’s, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, Culver's, Crushed Red, and Potbelly Sandwich Shop.

The Broadway Shops are surrounded by a mix of well educated, high income level consumers. Within a five mile radius of the development there are 108,626 people living in 44,829 households with an average household income of $58,910. There are 7,407 daytime employees within a one mile radius of The Broadway Shops including 3,647 medical workers. Within a three mile radius of The Broadway Shops are 68,149 daytime employees including 15,693 medical workers, as well as 40,000 students.

The Community at Old Hawthorne, located two miles east of the Broadway Shops on Broadway, is the largest residential development in the history of Columbia. The development encompasses 1,000 acres including a private 18 hole golf course, single family homes and luxury condominiums. Boone Hospital, University Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the University Hospital are also within three miles of the shops providing a combined 5,800 high paying jobs. Additionally, IBM recently opened a new facility off Highway 63 only two miles away that will add 800 new jobs with an average annual wage of $55,000.
